How UCT Calculates Faculty Points Score (FPS)

Unlike universities that convert percentages into 1–7 levels, UCT adds the raw actual percentages of your six best subjects, excluding Life Orientation:

Example of UCT FPS Calculation:

If your final percentages are: English (78%), Mathematics (84%), Physical Sciences (82%), Accounting (75%), History (70%), and Afrikaans (68%):
Your UCT FPS = 78 + 84 + 82 + 75 + 70 + 68 = 457 / 600.
